Me balle moren ugarin
Shtynin shoqja-shoqen
Qe te hanin barin.
Por c’te shikonin
Hijes rrinte shtrire
Kafsha egersire.
Ujku hileqar
Bente sikur flinte
Dhe per nje koke dele
“hic” ne mend s’i vinte.
Priste te pushonte fyelli
Te flinte bariu
Qe te niste gjemen
Ujku zemerziu.
Gjumi sec e mundi
Bariun e shkrete
Por Baloja rri zgjuar
Vesh e sy perpjete.
Baloja prane bariut
Sec na ishte shtrire
Me padurim po priste
Kafshen e peshtire.
Ngadale,kembadoras
Ujku hijen la
Dhe u turr drejte tufes:
Delet do t’i ha!
Baloja skermit dhembet
Fap ia preu rrugen
Perdhe e rrezoi
Ne fyt e kafshoi.
U zgjua bariu
Mbeshtjelle nen gune
Fli tani,- tha Baloja
Se roje jam une.
Kush perpiqet
Te tjereve t’ua punoje
Heret apo vone
Vete do ta pesoje.
